We spent Monday at the Methodist Bio-Intensive Farm in Meru. This is a training center that teaches farmers and inviduals the best use of the small amount of land for crops and gardens as well as livestock to feed their families and to sell. We gave the farm project money to tile their dining room, so several of us helped with laying tile and mixing cement. The others had a great time tearing down the old goat shed!
The folks at the farm were great hosts and prepared wonderful food. Ask us about the delicious banana pancakes!
We are currently in Dubai getting ready to head back to DFW. We can't believe how fast the time flew. We will miss our friends and will cherish the friendships developed with our Kenyan friends.
We are excited to share more of our journey with each of you once we return!
